Assistance for Landholders Now Available!

"Protecting Our Eucalypt Forests & Creeks in the Pullen Pullen Creek Catchment Project"

Pullen Pullen Catchment Group is pleased to announce the launch of Protecting Our Eucalypt Forests and Creeks in Pullen Pullen Catchment project.

Pullen Pullen Catchment Group has recently received funding to implement a new project aimed at building partnerships with private landholders to protect and enhance eucalypt forests and to protect and rehabilitate waterway corridors in the upper catchment of Pullen Pullen Creek, namely in the Pullenvale & Anstead area. The project has been made possible with a grant from the Bjarne K Dahl Trust and with support from Brisbane City Council.

In 2012, a series of educational workshops & field days will be run to increase our knowledge & experience on restoring eucalypt forests & creek corridors. The project will also resource the launch the Pullen Pullen Catchment Bushcare Network, thus enabling private landholders to offer mutual support & assistance to each other in protecting & restoring the creeks & forests on their land. These activities will be free of charge and open to all local residents.

Resources & assistance will also be made available to private landholders in the Upper Pullen Pullen Catchment area, who wish to undertake weed control, tree-planting and bush regeneration on their land and have a suitable project site. We encourage all interested landholders to apply.
