Anstead Park has excellent sheltered BBQ and picnic facilities, amidst a setting of parkland and open eucalypt forest. The park is a popular location for recreational users, with a network of short distance walking tracks, regularly used by bush walkers, horse riders and bird watchers. A highlight of the park, is the newly constructed Anstead Park Lookout, a 1 km walk from the carpark, which offers views of the Brisbane River, the D’Aguilar Ranges, and the historically significant site of the old Anstead Quarry, which still retains relics and reminders of the past. Entry to Anstead Park is from Hawkesbury Rd, about 500m south of Mt Crosby Rd intersection (UBD 195 N4).

Bushcare Activities

The protection & restoration of Anstead Park’s bushlands are, in large part, thanks to the Anstead Bushcare Group & community members undertaking tree planting and bush regeneration activities. We warmly welcome community members to come along to a bushcare morning and help plant a few trees or pull out a few weeds.

Anstead Bushcare activities are the third Sunday of each month: 8.30-11am typical, with morning tea provided. To confirm working bee details, contact the Bushcare Group Leader Ray Kraft on Ph: 3202 6470 or contactus@pullenpullencatchment.org.a.
